Baby Scream Secret Place

One of the great bands to emerge from Argentina over the years has gone relatively unknown to the rest of the world. Baby Scream displays some wonderful characteristics throughout this latest release, it has elements of folk, punk, rock and melody, intermingled with some beautiful love songs.

I reviewed these guys once before and likened their overall sound to that of the 70's new wave band, The Only One's...listening to this, I think my comparison was right on the money. Juan Pablo Mazzola heads up the operation, with his Peter Perrett-a-like vocal style and beautifully arranged writing style, with songs such as 'The Last Call', 'Hit & Run' [playing in the background], almost 'Mod', british 1960's arrangements, weller-esque beats carry them along. The guitars on this track reminiscent of Lou Reed's 'Coney Island Baby' album from 1976....

I LIKE This a LOT!

The production is done by the band and Emiliano Canal, and this is a winning combination, one i'd suggest they stick with!!!
