Ste McCabe returns to grace our presence with yet another marvellous collection of craziness, as he unleashes 'Harrowing Breakdown' upon us. The Manchester based composer just has a way with words and music...it's fun, high camp, thought-provoking, and very very gay! In fact, he's 'too poor to be gay'!

His 'style' for want of a better word, borders on the kind of music you made as young kids, in your bedroom, with not one 'real' instrument in sight, and captured on your tape cassette machine. It has an extreme 'Home-Made' quality to it, but don't be put off by that, that is 'useful'....it's an artform almost! Anyone can go into the studio and come away with a 'professional' sounding recording....this takes skill and patience!

Comparison's to Pete Shelley's Buzzcocks now seem to be common place for Ste McCabe, but that's a good thing! Roughly based in the same geographic, they have similar vocal styles and range, with Shelley comes the 'bitter-sweet' bite that we know and love, and Ste McCabe displays similar qualities.

Stand out track on his release, which, thoughtfully came in the mail complete with a chewy-jelly cherry, is 'Harrowing Breakdown', the title track [playing]....trouble is, most of us have more than one....Great Stuff!!!
