SoundCheck Volume 10
I can't believe what a great response we received to the previous issue...an amazing amount of readers on-line, from all corners of the globe. Sadly, Ivana was offered a top editorial role, with a top salary, so she simply had to go for it....thanks for everything you did for the us, Ivana !!
So, with my own musical career taking a turn for the better, I'm finding it hard to put the mag together each month, as I simply don't have the time anymore.....so, we're going Bi-Monthly after the next issue...
Anyway, my band, The Pyratz, are making waves [ pardon the pun ] back on the scene and will have a brand new album out before June, with live shows starting in May 2010. make sure you check us out - The Pyratz
The May Issue will feature a special focus on the fashion and art world's, as well as the obvious musical features....and I'm so very pleased to be able to say this...but my friend, and original punk rock designer, Natasha will be on the cover....
Sarah Blackwood - Wasting Time

Front-person of The Creepshow, Sarah Blackwood takes time out to record her second solo album, 'Wasting Time'. It's a wild mix of styles, taking influences from country, rock-a-billy, folk, gospel and good old fashioned melody. If this doesn't get your pulses racing, you're already dead!! Check out Sarah's amazing new album, set for release April 13, RIGHT HERE

Voltage - Re-union show review

Voltage were an original late 70's heavy rock band from the North West of England, who played to packed houses everywhere they toured, yet so little is known of them. We had heard along the grapevine that they were reforming for a 'one-off' show in their hometown....so we just had to go see for ourselves!!! check it out HERE
Motorhead, The Damned & Girlschool - Live Review

What a night!!!! Girlschool, The Damned AND Motorhead on one stage, in four hours of total metal mayhem!! Its a familiar line-up as these bands have links going waaaayyyy back to the 70's. We caught this rockin' rollin' steam-roller of a tour at the Manchester show....See for yourselves, right HERE
Electric Six - Danger, Danger...High Voltage!
Electric Six, back in the UK to perform a series of live shows to an eager audience, played one of the best sets we at SoundCheck have ever seen.....the masters of electro-dance-punk lay it down with meaning and the crowd lap it all up, as the 'Dance Commander' leads the sway!!! Check out the review right HERE
RUST - Black Rats

New York Dolls - Cause they said so...

The New York Dolls played, yet again, another blistering set to a packed house in Liverpool, on the penultimate evening of their latest UK tour. We were invited along to hang out with the coolest band in the world and had a great time....but what did we think of the show??
