Whoah! This is something quite different....what's coming next? I'm anticipating a shock...I'm on the edge of my seat...there's something nasty about to happen, right?
The opening of this disc is like watching a slasher movie, in the dark, with no-one else in your house, but you...or at least, so you think....eerie and atmospheric, whispered lyrics over a thump-thump, heart-beat bassline...oh my god! What was that?
Ok, enough already....when the second track 'Not Enough' starts, the action begins for real. The production is perfect, the songs are well-played and creative. The standard of musicianship is well above average, as is the standard of song-writing.
The songs each have one of the seven 'deadly' sins attached as a sub-heading, so you get Envy, Greed, Sloth etc...which is quite a cool touch. Is this a concept album? well, I'm not sure....what I am sure of is that I want to play it over and again to find out.
