The Skuzzies
Dissatisfied E.P

OUT NOW!!!
Framingo Records
By Chris Rockson
We
first featured the Skuzzies back in December 2007, when they released
the epic
'Shotgun Romance' single, released on the very same Framingo label.
Their blend of sharp, scratchy punk-power-pop, hints of influences that would include
The Strokes, the Velvets and the Dolls. Had they been around in the day, they would
Most definitely been the house band at Max’s.
Here today, minus one member of the band from the last release, we find them kicking
It out and lookin’ good, with the wonderful ‘Dissatisfied’ Extended player. Enjoy!
The Skuzzies are right back in form with this their third release on Framingo Records.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any better for the London based trio, they
Have exceeded all expectations with this stunning 4-track EP. With their debut
‘Ice Cold’ quickly followed by the ‘Shotgun Romance’ EP, both sell out hits on
the underground scene, the trimmed down three-piece are now a force to be reckoned
with on both sides of the Atlantic.
Firing off the EP is the newly re-mixed and re-mastered ‘Dissatisfied’, a dramatic
Guitar driven anthem which pitches them high up on the short list of successors
To the crown left vacant by the late, great Johnny Thunders!
The Gordon Raphael [ The Strokes – Is This It ] produced ‘Psychosexual’ takes up
The reins on the second salvo and bears witness to the sheer depth of influences the
Londoners have taken on board.
Featured here in CD format for the first time is the first single 'Ice Cold', the highly rated debut
single which made headway in both underground and student circles across the pond in the US
when it was first released last year. The final track is the live favourite 'Shotgun Romance'
a straightforward rocker which takes no prisoners in its assault on the senses!
This stunning release will be available for digital download from I-Tunes, Napster etc.
The CD will be available directly from Framing as well as Rough Trade Records and Avalanche.
Don't be the last one to pick up on the sound of the Skuzzies, we champion their cause here
