When I first put this disc on the player, I was expecting it to be pretty much an indie, scratchy guitar and angst ridden lyrics affair....errrm, got that bit right then!

What I didn't expect was the quality of it all.....from the opening track 'Fairground Intro' a spooky minute or so of Hammer House Of Horror anxiety....what's coming next? Well, 'One Off Free' itches and scratches its way along quite nicely, above a great backbeat, supplied by former Pyratz drummer Sophia, is a loud mouthed vocal line that sets the tone really for the rest of the EP.

'Moan', reminiscent of those masters of indie-punk 'The Strokes' as well as a myriad of other bands before them, breaks the tempo nicely. These guys can write a decent song, and will no doubt get their chance at the big time...to me they need a little longer, but make no doubt about it, they could go all the way, they just need time to hone their song-writing skills and the world is definitely theirs for the taking!

The sound is just a little bit the same on each track, and that would almost be unbearable for a full-length album, but as i said, these guys are learning their craft, and as an EP/taster of what their capable of, it rocks pretty much!!!

Five Stars from us !!
