Alfie
Cicale and The Vivians, to my mind, are two of the
brightest talents on the
music scene at the moment. If you haven't heard of them or seen
them play live, then it
certainly won't be long before you do. Dingwalls,, in the heart of
Camden, has seen
legends such as Johnny Thunders, The Damned and
Sid Vicious play, to name but a few,
but tonight, future stars Alfie Cicale and The 'Vivacous'
Vivians played blinding sets
to an enthusiastic audience.

Alfie Cicale
is a glittering rock n roll star just waiting to happen.
He has one of the most extraordinary, melodic voices I've
heard in years!.
His
lyrics are absolutely beautiful, reminiscent of the days of
Tyrannosaurus Rex
and Ziggy Stardust, but with his own unique style. You can
just melt away listening to his voice.
Songs such as 'Golden Telephone', 'Sha La La baby' and 'Glittering Days' are pure gold.
Tonight,
Alfie did a solo electro-acoustic set. He had the whole audience
singing along with him,
and I can't wait to see him again when he has his band around him.
Headlining the bill were my favourite band of the moment, The Vivians!
The
Vivians hail from Edinburgh and Sweden, and have only just
recently moved to London.
They are best simply described as 'High energy, Amphetimine
fuelled, Pop punk n roll'

The band consist of
five very cute guys. Frontman, Damon Devile, runs around the
stage at
100 miles an hour, belting out the songs, whilst Guitarist Kit,
moves jerkily around as if
someone's plugged him in to the electric mains.
John on
Bass and Scotty Vivian on Drums, make for a very tight rhythm
section, and
completing the line up, is the enigmatic Christoffer on Rhythm
Guitar.
Every
one of their songs is full of catchy hooks, and my personal
favourites are
'Divided we Stand', 'Endless Beginnings', and a
'Human Angle'.
They
leave you wanting more. The Vivians are doing a succession of gigs
around London
right now, and are on the verge of signing to an American label,
so catch them while they
are still playing the smaller, more intimate venues..
